UBC Engineering Design Teams are great sources for exciting media stories because the work they do focuses on a tangible creation, such as a solar powered car or a soccer playing robot, there is huge potential for visually engaging footage. As well, since the teams are education based instead of for-profit, they’re able to collaborate on their developing work. The teams often compete in international competitions as well, which provide a wide reaching platform.
